Position: Senior Marketing Manager
Salary:£67,270-£72,000 per annum
Start date: ASAP
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the BMJ Customer Marketing team. This position will bring an inquisitive mindset to customer marketing and drive marketing campaign optimisation across the BMJ portfolio through measuring the effectiveness of campaigns. You will be responsible for our full marketing technology stack, from ensuring we have the right tools through to guaranteeing we are getting the best out of all the tools we use. You should have a strong affinity to performance analysis and designing integrated campaigns that build from awareness right through to acquisition.
This is a role for a marketer who loves using data and insight to drive continual improvements in what we do and how we do it. It requires somebody with a strong commercial mindset, who enjoys working with people and teams and can both inspire and build confidence.
Reporting to the Head of Customer Marketing, you will influence direction and be at the forefront of the customer experience to ensure the customer is central to our plans, while monitoring and improving the effectiveness of our marketing activities. Stakeholder management is a key part of this role, both bringing together the product divisions as well as the customer groups, to truly understand our ROI and effectiveness to drive the best decision making, as well as raising risks and addressing blockers effectively.
As a new role, you will need to be comfortable with defining ways of working and best practices. This may include training teams and identifying opportunities to continuously improve activities to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the BMJ portfolio. You will also be responsible for regular evaluation of our marketing technology, making sure we are set up for future growth.
The role is varied and, as such, the role holder will need to be a self-starter with the ability to see the bigger picture of the marketing operation as well as enjoying getting stuck into the detail of our execution and plans.
Job title: Publishing Assistant (Rights and Licensing)
Reporting to: Head of Rights, Licensing and Permissions
Salary: £29,139 per annum
Contract: Maternity Cover - 12 months

We are looking for a Publishing Assistant (Rights and Licensing) to cover maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your knowledge of licensing in the STM publishing sector. A demonstrable knowledge and interest in journal publishing particularly licensing and copyright areas are desirable.
The role is key in supporting the Head of Rights, Licensing and Permissions to maximise revenue from third party licensing through the legal and ethical reuse of BMJ content. The role holder acts as a gatekeeper of the BMJ brand through managing local edition licensing processes and permission services.
The job is extremely varied. It will suit someone with a proactive approach who is willing to use their initiative to deal with new challenges.
Position: Senior Clinical Evidence Analyst
Salary:£47k - £53k per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: The work is currently home based but staff will soon be able to work in our London office and will be encouraged to do so for specific activities on a semi regular basis. Please take into consideration that you may be required to commute to our London office.
The BMJ Technology Assessment Group (BMJ-TAG) is looking for an experienced Systematic Reviewer/ Clinical Evidence Analyst with a keen interest in evidence-based medicine.
The BMJ-TAG is one of the Centres of Excellence for HTA, commissioned by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to conduct independent scientific research to evaluate the value of health technologies for the NHS. The BMJ-TAG is made up of a team of highly skilled Clinical Evidence Analysts and Health Economists based in London. We promote a culture of independent thinking, teamwork, and scientific excellence.
BMJ HR are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the end-to-end recruitment and employee experience process for all roles in a consultative & collaborative manner across BMJ (UK & Internationally), whilst making a positive contribution and impact to onboarding and off-boarding processes to support diversity and inclusion. The role reports to the EDI Manager and sits within an HR team of 10.
You will work with line managers to understand their recruitment needs and build campaigns for commercial roles across the business. It is essential to deliver on a variety of recruitment strategies in an agile method across departments within BMJ. As the sole recruiter, you will need to be comfortable dealing with roles at all levels, throughout a number of varying disciplines.
While the focus area will be on direct recruitment and EDI you will also support the Head of T&D with talent management initiatives. Additionally, you will support ad-hoc Talent/HR projects, contributing to BMJ being a great place to be, including our People Engagement agenda from the start of an employee's BMJ career and throughout, and act as the Product manager for our BMJ applicant tracking system.
Position: Conference Producer, BMJ Events
Salary: Up to £40,240 per annum
The Conference Producer will be responsible for the design and delivery of programmes across a selection of events in the BMJ portfolio. These events will include international conferences of 1000+ participants, and will be held in both face to face and virtual formats.
To be a successful candidate, you should have experience in designing conference programmes based on audience needs. The role would suit either a conference producer used to working on complex events with high levels of stakeholder management, or a professional working in the health and care sector with strong project management skills and an interest in designing conferences to meet the needs of patients and communities.
Due to social distancing measures, large sections of our portfolio are being delivered in virtual or hybrid format. Knowledge of delivering content virtually is desirable.
Once we return to face to face events, the role holder will be expected to travel internationally 2-3 times per year for conferences or planning trips. Previous destinations have included Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, The Netherlands and Sweden.
