BMJ is looking for an Editor-in-Chief to develop the editorial scope and strategy for a new, leading, open access, general medical journal. The new journal will be a companion journal to The BMJ in the BMJ family of open access journals. You will work closely with The BMJ’s editorial team and will report in to the Editor-in-Chief of The BMJ.
This is a high-profile role within the BMJ portfolio of journals. As Editor-in-Chief you will be responsible for the journal’s content, as well as leading on establishing the journal’s scope and vision. You will lead on exploring and embracing new publishing developments and transformative technologies for the journal.
The successful candidate will act as an ambassador, actively promoting the new journal, and upholding the highest ethical standards of publishing practice that The BMJ is renowned for. You will build an editorial team and work collaboratively with The BMJ and other BMJ Journals to ensure the rapid development and success of the journal.
