    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Marketing Executive to work in the BMJ Consumer Marketing Team to drive online brand communications across social and digital marketing.


    Excellent stakeholder management is key to this role as you’ll be advising various departments and senior managers with their social media initiatives in order to tailor their products/services to the relevant audience to ensure they reach their commercial potential.


    You’ll be passionate about understanding how the digital landscape BMJ operates in works, reviewing new technologies and keeping the company at the forefront of social media and digital developments.


    In addition to the social media side of the role, experience in Paid Search would prove advantageous, as we are looking to grow the role to oversee and implement such activities.


    It’s a busy role and we’re looking for someone to take ownership, use initiative and manage a varied workload.


    • Update and review the current social media strategy in alignment with company strategic initiatives
    • Gatekeeper of Hootsuite social media management platform, driving adoption and training users to ensure optimisation
    • Monitor performance, conduct analysis and provide regular social media metrics,including updates to the Executive on company social media maturity
    • Support consumer marketing and wider teams with digital queries
    • Plan and implement Paid Search activities - and supporting the development of the strategic direction for Paid Search within the business with the Head of Consumer Marketing
    • Regularly evaluate PPC performance and metrics to continually optimise performance
    • Other adhoc marketing activity supporting tactical plans across journals and education products

    • Is a confident presenter who enjoys delivering results to a breadth of stakeholders


    Technical skills:

    • Sound background in using online analytics eg Google Analytics
    • Working knowledge of using email marketing platforms eg Adestra
    • Google Adwords experience
    • Social media platforms and management tools e.g. Hootsuite
    • Paid social implementation
